Charlie has an impressive resume of Big Bands he has worked with,
including Ralph Flanagan, Neal Hefti, Ralph Marteri , Sammy Kaye,
Woody Herman, Les and Larry Eigart, Buddy Morrow, and Jimmy Dorsey.

- He rates his best experience as being with Neil Hefti and
Ralph Marteri, playing lead trombones unexpectedly. Ralph pulled
out an arrangement of 'Flight of the Bumble Bee, trombone solo.
That was a high point! Also, Neal gave him the chance to write
his own song.,which was recorded under Neal's name, and for which
Charlie received the credit.
- His worst experience was being stranded in the snow for two
days with Buddy Morrow, trying to get to Toronto.
